Andrew Short joins Cognition as new General Manager - International Business Development

Cognition Education is delighted to announce the appointment of Andrew Short as General Manager International Business Development.

Andrew is an educational specialist with over 20 years of experience in school leadership and management, organisational improvement, policy development and delivery, system transformation in both the public and private education sectors. He has strong leadership, analytical and stakeholder engagement skills as well as the ability to develop and lead large scale educational change programmes. Andrew has built a reputation in delivering strong educational outcomes with an accompanying financial performance that encourages investors and attracts growth in developing markets. 

He is a strategic thinker who has worked with private equity and governments to open opportunities to provide access to quality educational provision. He has particular skills in school operations with commercial expertise in Greenfield school establishment, school management, professional development, blended learning, and parental engagement. Andrew returns to Cognition New Zealand after residing 12 years in the Middle East and North Africa.
